Breck Homes has made a senior appointment to lead the growth of its affordable homes pipeline across the Midlands and wider Central England region.
Joe Menna has been appointed Head of Land for Breck’s Central region, bringing over 15 years of experience in the Midlands property industry, including around 12 years in land buying and partnerships roles for affordable housing developers.
Most recently, he was Senior Land Manager at affordable housing developer Vistry Group.
Joe’s role will focus on growing Breck’s affordable development pipeline by sourcing new land opportunities across the West and East Midlands, as well as developing and strengthening partnerships with registered affordable housing providers in the region.
Headquartered in the North West, Breck was formed in 2020 and has delivered over 1,000 new homes since its inception. It currently has a pipeline of over 2,500 homes across live and future development sites throughout the North and Midlands.
Andy Garnett, CEO, Breck Homes said: “Breck has grown quickly across the North West, Yorkshire and Midlands by transforming communities through high-quality affordable housing in true partnership with affordable housing providers. A key part of this has been moving quickly to secure sites with real potential and progress these through the stages of development.
“We already have a growing portfolio of sites in the Midlands, including two developments currently under construction in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire.
“Joe’s appointment will help us build on this momentum, accelerate our development pipeline and identify new opportunities across the East and West Midlands, including Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire, as well as the wider Central England region.”
“He brings extensive experience of the region’s key development sites and affordable housing industry and he shares Breck’s ethos of growth through true partnership working.”
Joe lives near Leicester and has a Postgraduate Diploma in Surveying and Real Estate from the University of the Built Environment.
He said: “Breck has established itself as one of the most exciting and fastest-growing affordable housing developers in the North, so the opportunity to play a leading role in accelerating its Midlands growth is a particularly exciting one.
“There is a real opportunity to build on the momentum already created by identifying key land opportunities around the M1 and M6 corridors and the region’s major conurbations.
“The government is investing billions of pounds into the affordable housing sector as demand continues to grow, including in the Midlands. Breck is privately run and well-funded, which gives us the ability to capitalise on opportunities as they arise to meet this demand and transform communities across the region.”
