Breck moves to expanded premises in central Lancashire

Breck premises located at Sceptre Court Business Park in Walton Summit, Preston

North West property developer Breck has completed its move from Blackpool to a new 5,000 sq ft office in central Lancashire to support its continued expansion over the coming years.

The new two-storey office is located at Sceptre Court Business Park in Walton Summit, Preston, close to Junction 29 of the M6 as well as the M61 and M65. The move has seen the developer’s 14 staff relocate from its previous office at Blackpool Technology Park.

Since Breck’s formation in 2020, its housing division has completed around 210 units at four sites across the North West for a growing number of registered affordable housing providers, including 55 affordable homes for Progress Housing in Catterall, Lancashire and 53 homes in Cottam, Preston for Places for People.

The company’s growing number of live sites now spans across the North West, including developments in Stockport, Winsford and Crewe.

In addition, Breck’s development arm pipeline includes sites in areas such as Cheshire, Greater Manchester and Lancashire and its investment arm has a growing portfolio in areas including Barnsley and Sheffield.

The move from Blackpool Technology Park to Sceptre Court will give Breck a more central base in the areas it operates, allowing staff to visit sites more easily and making the office more accessible for its growing team.

The new office also has capacity for around 50 additional staff, supporting Breck’s plans to increase employee numbers as it continues to expand over the coming years.

Andy Garnett, director, Breck said: “Since the company’s formation in 2020 we have developed a strong reputation for consistent and high-quality delivery of affordable homes, which has presented a growing number of opportunities for the firm right across the North West.

“Our current development pipeline is now worth around £36m and we’re planning to recruit around five new staff within the next year to support and grow this.

“The move to central Lancashire will allow us to recruit the best talent from right across the North West and provide them with a modern, flexible workspace to fulfil their potential.”

The office’s facilities include an open plan layout to improve staff communication, improved meeting space as well as electric vehicle charging points for staff.
