Breck Homes has completed the unconditional purchase of a new four-acre site in East Bierley, West Yorkshire, with plans to deliver around 70 new affordable homes.
The proposed development represents Breck’s fifth affordable housing scheme in Yorkshire and will provide 100 per cent affordable housing on an allocated site.
Following the acquisition, Breck will submit a full planning application to Kirklees Council in the coming weeks. The company is also in advanced discussions with a nominated housing provider, which will acquire the development on completion.

“Our unconditional acquisition of the East Bierley site underlines that ambition and is another important step on Breck’s growth journey. We now look forward to engaging with our partners and other stakeholders to advance our plans and get spades in the ground.”
Prior to Breck’s acquisition, the site has been on the market for around eight years.

Elsewhere in the county, Breck is live at three affordable housing developments in Bradford, totalling 107 affordable homes.
It also received planning consent last week for its largest Yorkshire scheme yet, at a former Lloyds Bank data centre in Farsley. The developer is now expected to begin construction in November 2026 for 120 affordable homes.
