Breck Homes has made a senior appointment to its North West team as it continues to grow its pipeline of affordable housing development across the region.
Andrew Laing has joined the business as Head of Land – North West, bringing more than 25 years’ experience in planning, land acquisition and residential development.
In his new role, Andrew will be responsible for securing residential development opportunities across the North West, leading Breck’s regional land team and supporting the company’s ambitious growth plans.
His focus will be on identifying and acquiring brownfield and greenfield land in sustainable locations, typically between three and 30 acres. His appointment will help strengthen Breck’s pipeline as the business targets building around 500 new affordable homes per year, across the North West within the next 18-months.
Andrew joins Breck from Persimmon Homes Lancashire, where he held a series of senior land roles, progressing from Senior Land Manager to Head of Land and Land Director.
During his career, he has built a strong track record of identifying immediate and strategic land opportunities, negotiating land deals and legal contracts, leading planning promotion, managing consultant teams and taking sites from acquisitions through to planning approval and development.

Breck was established in Lancashire in 2020. It has delivered more than 1,000 homes since its formation and has a current pipeline of over 2,200 new homes. It opened its Leeds office in 2025.
