Northern property developer, Breck Homes, has strengthened its growing Yorkshire team with the recruitment of Daniel Baines as development designer.
Daniel will be based at Breck’s Yorkshire office in Leeds and has joined the fast-growing business from Leeds-based architecture practice, NW Architects. He brings over 20 years’ experience working across the architecture and residential sectors.
In his new role at Breck, Daniel will focus on masterplanning development sites at planning and tender stage, as well as creating 3D models to support pre-construction work.
Daniel began his career in 2001 after completing his architecture degree and has also gained experience in designing and managing furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) installations.
In addition, he holds a Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) accreditation.
Speaking about the appointment, Nigel Robson, Regional Managing Director (Yorkshire) at Breck Homes, said: “Great design is central to creating high-quality homes and communities, and Daniel brings a strong architectural background, technical understanding and valuable experience across a range of development sectors.
“As we continue to expand our pipeline and work with partners to deliver much-needed affordable homes, Daniel will help us shape schemes that are well-designed, sustainable and rooted in the needs of the people who will live there.”
Daniel added: “Breck’s track record and growth plans in the affordable housing sector impressed me immensely and I think this is a great opportunity to develop in a young and growing company.
“Providing quality affordable homes is as important now as it has ever been and, together with our partners, I believe we can make a difference to lives and communities across Yorkshire.”
Breck was established in Lancashire in 2020. It has delivered more than 1,000 homes since its formation and has a current pipeline of over 2,200 new homes. It opened its Leeds office in 2025.
It works with housing associations including Incommunities, Places for People, Progress Housing Group, Aspire Housing, Jigsaw, Great Places, Torus, LIVV Housing Group, Weaver Vale Housing Trust, Legal & General Affordable Homes, Plus Dane, JV North and Community Gateway Association.
The company is currently recruiting for several further positions within its growing Yorkshire team including development engineer, quantity surveyor, site manager and assistant site manager.
